Hello peoples.
Just a heads up that over the coming months things will be changing a little around these parts.
MMR – will soon become Middleman Recordings (as opposed to Middle Management Recordings) and our new site will be located at
http://www.middlemanrecordings.com
The old url (www.middlemanagement.net) will mirror to the new site and our contact email addresses will change.
The site will be completely revamped and redesigned to better reflect the way the label is heading – primarily a mixture of psychedelia and electronica. (A big thanks to Rob from Cranium Pie for helping with this).
Talking of Cranium Pie – we hope to be putting out several releases by the Bath (UK) psychedelic warriors over the next year… if you don’t know them – check out…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8_UjodLgS0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3YyU0UGbkw
Also we will be launching
http://www.thenewpsychedelia.com
This blog will incorporate much more than just our own stuff – art, culture, graphics, music… in fact anything that could be termed ‘new psychedelia’… with features and interviews on many bands and artistes. We are trying to get as far away as possible from tie-dyed shirts, acid trips and 60s cliches with this – so expect the unexpected.
Finally – we plan on launching physical products later this year – CDs and/or Vinyl to be distributed alongside our digital releases in the USA and UK.
We are also planning on putting out a compilation of the best of MMR stuff this summer that will reflect the honed direction, name and design.
Onwards and upwards, and all the very best for now,
Lorin MMR
Lucca will be playing a live show next week on Tuesday 23rd March 2010 – their first outing in quite some time at one of London’s top venues – the Luminaire.
http://www.theluminaire.co.uk/live-music/2010/March/1164/MAMER
They will be supporting Chinese artist Mamer who is in the UK on a short 8-day tour and signed to Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records.
Lucca’s 30 min set will kick off around 7.40.
Expect more from Lucca shortly.
Get down.
Many thanks to YouTube fan 32 stardust for putting this up.

Phylum Sinter Bio:
Born, raised, and currently entrenched just outside Detroit, Phylum Sinter is the working alias of 29-year-old Christopher Todd.
Self-taught in piano and guitar from an early age, he began meddling with computers in a vaguely musical way in the mid 90s. After severe overexposure to Detroit Techno, raves, and Berlin’s take on electronic music, he began to drift toward musical structures that are less about moving bodies and more about moving minds.
In 2001, both the creative direction and the name were chosen, and Todd’s focus was aimed at composing songs that are at once familiar and experimental. Phylum Sinter’s music is innovative and original, and is certainly well in keeping with Detroit’s rich and revolutionary musical history.
LATEST: Featured Release by our distributors, IODA.. the global leader in independent music distribution.
Promo tracks for Phylum Sinter’s forthcoming LP ‘Detroit Nocturnes’ are beginning to appear in various places.
One of these – ‘Before The Sun Blinds Us’ features vocalist Tamara Finlay and appears on the 200th episode of the excellent ‘Chillcast’ with Anji Bee. Check out this great mix, which also includes great tracks by Groove Armada feat. Bryan Ferry and new material from Massive Attack. Congratulations to Anji on reaching such a milestone!
Detroit Nocturnes will be released worldwide on March 2nd 2010 via IODA distribution USA. Full tracklisting and details will follow soon.
Here’s a little blast from the past and the Middle Management Recordings archives. Sounds weird to say ‘archives’ when we only really just got going but there you go.
This promo film was shot in Dublin, Ireland by the wonderful Kavi to accompany Prince Kong’s killer sci-fi, thrash metal track ‘c4035′.
c4035 was released in March 2009 on Prince Kong’s debut ‘I Make Me Rigid’ mini album… still available from all good download stores.
Enjoy.
